(Fort Worth, TX) — American Airlines is trying to get things back on track after canceling nearly two-thousand flights over Halloween weekend.
The Fort Worth-based carrier ended up canceling about 35-percent of Sunday’s flights. The airline issued a statement that blamed staffing shortages and weather problems. The statement says severe winds in North Texas on Thursday led to a growing list of cancellations starting on Friday.
DFW Airport experienced more cancellations and stranded passengers than any other airport.
