Voters Decide Today On 8 Proposed State Constitutional Amendments

(Austin, TX) — Texas voters cast ballots today on eight amendments to the state Constitution.

Proposition 1 would allow charitable raffles at rodeos.  Prop 2 deals with taxes for county infrastructure.  Prop 3 would bar the state from shutting down churches during a pandemic.  Prop 4 would alter eligibility requirements for judges on certain state courts.  Prop 5 would deal with misconduct of judicial candidates.  Prop 6 allows the designation of an essential caregiver.

Prop 7 would require property tax exemptions for bereaved elders.  Prop 8 would do the same for families of military members killed in the line of duty.

Polls are open from 7a to 7p.
