O'Rourke Faces Uphill Campaign Funding Battle Vs. Abbott

(Austin, TX) — Democratic gubernatorial candidate Beto O’Rourke is facing an uphill battle against Gov. Greg Abbott when it comes to campaign funding.

O’Rourke is touting the two-million-dollars his campaign raised in 24 hours, but Republican incumbent Abbott had a campaign war chest totaling 55-million-dollars as of the end of June.

Abbott’s campaign announced on Wednesday the upcoming placement of billboard ads in cities statewide depicting President Joe Biden as “Wrong for America” and O’Rourke as “Wrong for Texas.”
