(Dallas, TX) — The Dallas Mavericks are retiring superstar Dirk Nowitzki’s jersey.

Mavs owner Mark Cuban says the number 41 formerly worn by Nowitzki will be retired on Wednesday, January 5th, when Dallas faces the Golden State Warriors.  No other Mavs player will wear that number going forward.

Nowitzki played his last game in 2019, after spending his entire 21-year career in Dallas.
