(Fort Worth, TX)  —  Fort Worth police are investigating the shooting of a three-year-old girl whose father took her to the Tarrant County Jail on Sunday afternoon.

Officers say the man entered the jail lobby around 3 p.m. and said his daughter had been shot while in a car.

The child was taken to a hospital in unknown condition.  Police say they believe the shooting took place in the Stockyards area.
