Prison For Former Cleburne Doc Guilty Of Sex Assault & Ins Fraud

(Cleburne, TX) — A former Cleburne doctor is off to prison for 15-years after pleading guilty to sexual assault and insurance fraud on Thursday.

John Dang’s private medical practice was once the largest in Cleburne, but he lost his medical license after police started investigating him in 2018. His sentence was part of a plea deal in which Dang agreed to forfeit his right to appeal.

Dr. Dang was so well known and had so many patients in Johnson County that the D-A recused himself from the case. Two Fort Worth attorneys were named special prosecutors.
