Wildfires Burn Thousands Of Acres In North Texas

(Wichita County, Tx) – As of 6:30 last night, the Texas A&M Forest Service says 100% of the wildfires burning in the Texoma area have been contained.

Firefighters report 6,300 acres burned in what they call the Arrowhead Fire in Clay County, and another 2,300 acres were scorched in the Electra Complex fire in Wichita County.

No official estimates have been released yet of the total damage to the town of Electra and surrounding areas, but there are reports that multiple homes may have burned.
