(North Richland Hills, TX) — One person is in the hospital after a fiery truck crash Wednesday morning on Loop 820 in North Richland Hills.

A garbage truck and a fuel tanker truck collided on the freeway in heavy traffic approaching a roadwork closure.  Spilled diesel from the tanker resulted in a fire, and the driver was airlifted to a hospital with severe burns.  The freeway was closed for hours after the wreck.

During the cleanup, the garbage truck slipped off the wrecker and injured a member of the work crew.
