(Dallas, TX) — ‘Cheer’ is returning to Netflix for what some are calling a dramatic second season.
The docuseries follows rival Texas cheer teams from Corsicana’s Navarro College and Trinity Valley Community College in Athens, along their journey to a national competition in Florida.
Executive Producer and Director Greg Whiteley confirmed viewers will watch COVID-19 disrupt the 2020 season and see serious criminal accusations leveled at one of their teammates who became a series star. Whiteley hopes viewers will be taken on the ‘same ride’ that he and the production crew experienced first-hand.
