FWPD Looking For Suspect Who Shot Tow Truck Driver, Led Police On Chase

(Dallas, TX) — Fort Worth Police are looking for a suspect in the shooting of a tow truck driver.

Officers responded shortly before noon on Tuesday of last week to a reported shooting on Vermillion Drive. The tow truck driver told them two armed men had stolen a car he was about to tow, and one of them, identified as 18-year-old Julio Soto, had shot him in the arm. Soto and several other people, including a seven-year-old, drove off in the stolen car and crashed it at Hulen Mall at the end of a police chase. Police arrested two suspects, but Soto got away.

He’s wanted for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon, child endangerment, evading arrest, and unlawful carrying of a weapon. The child was unhurt.
