(Dallas, TX) — A Korean War memorial is under construction at the Dallas-Fort Worth National Cemetery.

An ambassador from the Korean Consular Office in Dallas attended the groundbreaking ceremony on Monday.  The 12-foot-high memorial will honor those who fought in the Battle of Lake Jangjin.

U.S. forces fought more than 100-thousand Chinese soldiers in severe cold conditions in November and December 1950.
