COVID Causes Closures Of NTX Schools

(Undated) — Rising coronavirus cases are causing the temporary closures of several North Texas school districts.

Boyd ISD in Wise County is shut down until next Tuesday so all facilities can be deep cleaned.

Keene ISD in Johnson County was shut down on Monday and Tuesday this week and reopened school Wednesday, only to announce they were going to close again for the rest of the week through the MLK holiday. Classes will reportedly resume on Tuesday the 18th.

Kemp ISD plans to shut down today and Friday although extracurricular activities are still planned.

Mansfield ISD is also temporary closing six elementary schools due to coronavirus and a lack of teachers.
