Fort Worth Gets $403M In Fed Cash For Panther Island Project

(Fort Worth, TX)  —  Fort Worth is getting $403-million from the federal government for the Panther Island project.

Congresswoman Kay Granger says the U.S. Army Corps of Engineers will use the cash to complete the final design for the rerouting of part of the Trinity River.  It’s part of the Central City Flood Control Project.

There will also be upgrades to the Trinity River levee system.
