(Irving, TX) — One of the world’s biggest energy companies is moving from its longtime North Texas headquarters.
ExxonMobil announced it was leaving Irving to its 385-acre campus near Houston. The move is expected to be completed by 2023. ExxonMobil CEO Darren Woods says the relocation will help them streamline business operations and grow shareholder value.
Exxon had been located in Irving since 1989 after relocating from New York. The oil and gas company merged with Mobil Oil in 1999.
