(Burleson, Tx) – A 39-year-old Austin man was arrested Monday morning for car-jacking a North Joshua Elementary School employee in the school’s parking lot.
According to the Cleburne Times Review, the employee was approached about 7:15am by an individual in the parking lot and the suspect stole their car. Burleson, Alvarado Police and the Johnson County Sheriff’s Office, quickly found the vehicle and tried to stop it, but the driver kept on going and a chase began that eventually ended on Renfro St in Alvarado.
Joshua ISD says the employee suffered a minor injury and was treated at the scene. No other staff members or students were involved in the incident.
Police say the suspect, Shad Allen King, had outstanding warrants and was trying to make a getaway. There was no target on the school.
