(Dallas, TX)  —  Wildlife experts and birdwatchers alike are wondering what a pair of bald eagles are going to do now that high winds have knocked their nest out of a tree near White Rock Lake in east Dallas.

Brett Johnson, an urban biologist for Dallas, says the nesting pair moved into the park last October and took over an abandoned hawk nest.  He says there was at least one egg in the nest when it fell, and it didn’t survive.

The eagles may rebuild the nest or move on.
