Corsicana Student Arrested After Gun Found At School

(Corsicana, TX) — A student is under arrest after a gun turned up in a classroom at Corsicana High School.

The school was placed on lockdown around 11 a.m. Thursday after reports of a gun in a backpack on campus. School administrators and Corsicana ISD police officers didn’t find the gun in the backpack. A continued search found the gun hidden in a classroom about 1:30 p.m. One student was arrested, and the lockdown ended.

Several students are being questioned about the incident and may be in trouble.
