(Dallas, TX) — The state’s new election integrity law is leading to larger numbers of rejected mail-in ballots in North Texas, as well as applications for the ballots.
The problem is the voters who apply for or cast a mail-in ballot aren’t filling them out properly with ID information required by the new law. About a fourth of the ballots won’t be counted unless the voters correct them.
The deadline for election clerks to receive mail-in ballot applications for the March primary is today.
