(Austin, TX) — The race is heating up in the Republican primary for the office of Texas Attorney General.
Incumbent Ken Paxton is running TV ads critical of U.S. Rep. Louie Gohmert’s attendance record in Congress. Gohmert’s ads accuse Paxton of desperation. Land Commissioner George P. Bush is airing TV ads that claim former state Supreme Court Justice Eva Guzman opposed a border wall. Guzman dismisses Bush’s claims.
As things now stand, Paxton may end up in a runoff against one of his three challengers. The primary election is March 1st.
