Inaugural Fort Worth Fashion Week

It was week’s worth of style showcases, shopping opportunities, and dress-to-impress parties in Fort Worth!!

The first of what organizers hope will be a twice-yearly event, in the spring and fall — just like New York Fashion Week — started by local designer,  Phillip Maximilian.

I love Fashion and I love Fort Worth, so I was honored to kick off the week at the opening party, held at locally owned,  Eyeworks on West 7th and Emcee the runway show at Bale Creek Allen Gallery in downtown!

Unlike the famed New York event, FWFW did not feature a lot of brand-specific fashion collections coming down the runway followed by designers taking their bows and waving.

It  showcased Fort Worth as far as fashion, local boutiques, brands, retail stores, galleries, and one big runway show… that was a blast!!

The events are spread out across Fort Worth, he notes, from a shopping “crawl” down Camp Bowie Boulevard to a reception and style show at the glittering Neiman Marcus Clearfork store and after-hours shopping at Market by Macy’s. Plus — parties!

It highlighted each part of Cowtown — Clearfork, Westbend, Camp Bowie district, West 7th and downtown — (along with) TCU Fashion Merchandising and TCU students.

Stay tuned for more in September!
