Texans Voting Early In Low Numbers In Primary Elections

(Austin, TX) — The 2022 Texas primary is on Tuesday, and Texas voters are turning out in their usual small numbers.

Early voting ended Friday. Election officials say the statewide turnout of registered voters was a little more than 7%.

By comparison, Tarrant County’s turnout was slightly more than 6%, with about two-thirds favoring Republicans.
