(Austin, TX) — Governor Greg Abbott will face off against Beto O’Rourke in November after the two easily won their parties’ respective primaries on Tuesday.
Abbott took on seven challengers in the Republican primary as he runs for a third term in office. O’Rourke, a former congressman, who ran failed campaigns for the U.S. Senate in 2018 and the White House in 2020, overwhelmingly won the Democratic nomination. O’Rourke held his victory watch party at a bar in downtown Fort worth Tuesday night.
The mid-term general election is set for November 8th.
