Democratic Candidate For TX Governor Sued

(Dallas, TX) — Democratic candidate for Texas governor Beto O’Rourke is being sued for defamation over his campaign rhetoric.

He claims that Dallas billionaire, C-E-O of Energy Transfer Kelcy Warren, made big bucks during last year’s deadly winter storm and then donated to the governor’s campaign so he would be let off easy. Warren claims O’Rourke is falsely accusing him of “serious crimes” stemming from his relationship with the governor.

O’Rourke says the legal action will not stop his claims that incumbent Governor Greg Abbott is to blame for sky-high energy bills during last year’s deadly winter storm.O’Rourke called the lawsuit “frivolous,” and said he will “not back down.”
