(Fort Worth, TX) — Wildfires burning across north Texas are running ahead of firefighters and forcing people from their homes in several counties west of Fort Worth.
The evacuation orders are in effect as stiff winds push new fires into the area. The sheriff in Hood County confirmed Sunday night that a firefighter had been injured battling the flames.
Days before that, an Eastland County deputy was killed trying to save others from a raging wildfire.
