(Jacksboro, Tx) — Multiple tornadoes are being reported in North and Central Texas.

The National Weather Service will be out today to survey Monday’s storm damage.  Images from inside Jacksboro High School shows the gym pretty much destroyed by a storm with rubble strewn across the basketball court.  The elementary school also sustained some damage.  The school district says students were at the school when it hit, but no one was injured.  The city estimates 60 – 80 homes and businesses were damaged.

The Jacksboro Animal Shelter also took a direct hit.  Reports say at least 8 dogs in the small shelter all survived and were picked up by a rescue organization.  Jacksboro City Manager Mike Smith calls it a miracle that no one was injured.

One person is reportedly dead and at least seven people were injured in Grayson County when the storms swept up towards the Texas-Oklahoma state line.  There was also damage reported in Cooke County and several homes were damaged in the town of Bowie in Montague County.
