(Undated) — Over a dozen tornadoes are being confirmed in Texas by the National Weather Service.

The twisters all hit Monday afternoon and early evening.  Survey teams say the strongest tornado is an EF-3 which hit Jacksboro with winds up to 150 miles per hour.  Eight other separate funnel clouds touched the ground around the North Texas area.  Five other tornadoes hit Crockett, Beasley, and Snook in Southeast Texas.

Governor Abbott was in Jacksboro yesterday to survey the damage and signed a state disaster declaration for 16 counties affected by tornadic activity in North and Central Texas.
