(New Boston, TX) — A North Texas man is facing abuse of a corpse charges after he confessed to keeping the corpse of his son in his kitchen for nearly four years.

Police in the city of New Boston discovered human remains during a welfare check at the home.  David McMichael reportedly admitted that his adult son died 2018.  It’s unclear how he died.

The 67-year-old was arrested without issue.  An autopsy of the son is underway.
