Fire Destroys Hotel At Possum Kingdom Lake

(Palo Pinto County, TX) — Investigators are trying to determine the cause of a fire that destroyed a resort hotel at Possum Kingdom Lake over the weekend.

The fire broke out early Sunday morning at the Cliffs Resort in Palo Pinto County. The Lake Palo Pinto Volunteer Fire Department and other crews from countywide helped battle the blaze.

The fire destroyed all three of the hotel’s buildings. Everybody got out safely. LPPVFD posted pictures of the fire on their Facebook page

No word yet on what caused the fire.
