(Granbury, TX) — A Marine veteran from North Texas will remain in a Russian prison after an appeal.
Moscow police arrested Trevor Reed in 2019 on charges that he assaulted an officer. Reed was sentenced to nine-years in prison. His parents, who live in Granbury, recently met with President Biden in Washington, D.C., to ask for more help to get him released. A Russian appeals court reviewed Reed’s case but sent it back to a lower court without making a decision.
Previously another court had denied Reed’s appeal.
