(Dallas, TX) — DFW Airport announced this morning it will join Love Field in making masks optional for travelers and employees.

Dallas-based Southwest Airlines and Fort Worth-based American Airlines have already dropped their mask mandates on flights.  The two carriers were among several airlines that made the announcement on Monday after a federal judge in Florida overturned the CDC’s mask mandate for planes and other public transportation.  The Judge said the CDC didn’t have the authority to impose the mandate.

Effective immediately, the U.S. Transportation Security Administration (TSA) will no longer enforce the requirement of face masks in airports.
