(Stephenville, Tx) – As a trial run to see how it goes, Tarleton State University will sell beer and wine at its spring football game Saturday, April 23 at Memorial Stadium in Stephenville.
The Texas Alcoholic Beverage Commission issued a one-day permit. If the university receives a full two-year TABC license, fans 21 and older with ID will be able to buy beer and wine at NCAA-sponsored athletic competitions where concessions are sold.
Erath County residents voted in November to allow alcohol sales at sites other than grocery stores and restaurants designated as private clubs.
