School Bus Hits, Kills Six-Year-Old Brock Girl

(Weatherford, TX) — State police are investigating after a school bus hit and killed a six-year-old girl on Monday afternoon in Parker County.

The accident happened about 4 p.m. on Canyon Creek Circle, about seven-miles southwest of downtown Weatherford. The Texas Department of Public Safety says a Brock ISD bus dropped off several students and struck the girl when it started moving again. The girl died at the scene. Her name hasn’t been released.

Brock ISD issued a statement saying “We are deeply saddened to confirm reports that a student was involved in a school bus accident this afternoon. No other students were injured.” The district says Campus Counselors and Crisis Support Teams will be on campuses today.
