(Ferris, TX) — The city of Ferris in Ellis County is offering free basic health care to all of its residents.
The City Council approved the plan called “Access For All” on Monday night. The plan will provide a mobile health component and basic telemedicine services to everybody who lives in the city limits. Ferris is the first town in Texas to help every resident get medical attention at no cost.
The idea came out of the city’s response to the pandemic, when it worked with a monoclonal antibody treatment center.
