Gaming World Meets Academia

(Grapevine, TX) — A global gaming company is teaming up with a North Texas school district to create scholastic e-sports programs.

Belong Gaming Arenas and the Grapevine-Colleyville Independent School District announced their partnership yesterday. Through their agreement Belong will provide practice and competition space for about 40,000 students.

Scholastic e-sports is one of the fastest growing segments of the gaming industry and several colleges now give scholarships to gamers.
