(Fort Worth, TX) — North Texas prosecutors are planning to seek the death penalty for a suspect in multiple murders.
Tarrant County District Attorney Sharen Wilson says it’s appropriate to seek the ultimate punishment against Jason Thornburg because he’s “the worst of the worst criminals.”
The 41-year-old Thornburg is accused of killing three people in a Euless motel as a human sacrifice before setting their bodies on fire in a Fort Worth dumpster last fall. He’s also charged in the death of his roommate and suspected in the death of his ex-girlfriend in Arizona.
A mental evaluation has been ordered.
