(Mineral Wells, Tx) – At a school board meeting this week, Mineral Wells ISD Trustees approved moving to a four-day school week starting this Fall.

This August, students will attend classes on Monday through Thursday.  MWISD Superintendent John Kuhn says the district will be looking at offering options on Fridays for younger kids.  The district says it will re-evaluate the schedule in December.

Several other North Texas school districts are also testing out shorter school weeks.  After polling parents and teachers Chico, Gordon, Graford, Perrin-Whitt and Woodson have gone to the 4-day schedule.
