Man Kills Self Outside Lockheed Martin

(White Settlement, TX) — A man is dead after taking his own life outside Lockheed Martin’s North Texas facility.

White Settlement Police Chief Christopher Cook says the man asked to speak to someone with the FBI and tried to get into the main gate Thursday morning but shot himself after security personnel confronted him. Cook adds the man wasn’t a Lockheed Martin employee but they’re not sure if he might have had a past connection with the company.

The fort worth bomb squad was called in to check out a suspicious briefcase found inside the man’s vehicle, but it turned out to be nothing.
