GOP Texas House Races Involve Expensive Campaigns

(Austin, TX) — The Republican primary runoffs for Texas House seats are running some high-dollar campaigns.

Campaign finance reports show that three of the four incumbents who ended up in runoffs each raised about 500-thousand-dollars in less than three-months. Some of the open-seat runoffs also have candidates pulling in six-figures in contributions.

Since redistricting reduced the number of competitive seats in the general election, the state GOP has fewer races to worry about in November.
