FBI Arrests ISIS Member Who Wanted To Murder Former President Bush

(Columbus, OH) — The FBI is confirming that an ISIS operative was planning to kill former President George W. Bush in Dallas.

FBI Joint Terrorism Task Force agents arrested Shihab Ahmed Shihab in Columbus, Ohio, on Tuesday morning. Shihab had reportedly lived in the country since 2020 and had applied for asylum. The FBI says he was in Dallas earlier this year to conduct surveillance on Bush’s home, offices, and library. Shihab reportedly wanted to help smuggle four Iraqi nationals across the southern border to help him carry out the hit.

The FBI says Shihab wanted to kill Bush to avenge the 2003 invasion of Iraq.
