Man Accidentally Shoots Himself At Arlington School

(Arlington, TX) — A man is in custody after accidentally wounding himself with a concealed gun at an Arlington school.

Police say 55-year-old Anthony White is the parent of a student at Duff Elementary School and was visiting the campus on Thursday at the time of the accident. White reportedly dropped his gun, which discharged and wounded him in the leg. He wasn’t near any students and didn’t make any threats.

After his release from the hospital, police arrested White for having a gun in a school and discharging a firearm in the city limits.
