Dallas Hospital Where JFK Died Is Being Torn Down

(Dallas, TX) — Demolition of the historic Parkland Memorial Hospital is now underway.

President John F. Kennedy died at the hospital after getting shot as his motorcade traveled through downtown Dallas on November 22, 1963. Parkland opened in 1954 on Harry Hines Boulevard, and accepted its final inpatient in 2015.

The demolition started on Monday and is expected to take about two-years.
