(WEATHERFORD, TX) – The ongoing saga about whether to allow backyard chickens within the city limits of Weatherford continues.

Last month, the city council voted against a chicken ordinance that would have allowed residents to keep up to six chickens at homes under an acre.  However, at this week’s meeting, some of the members felt they should take another look at the ordinance after a Facebook campaign and petition by chicken ordinance advocates gained some support.

One council member said the issue should be decided by Weatherford voters.
