(BURLESON, TX) – Burleson police are looking into a social media post about an alleged kidnapping, they say never happened.

According to the Cleburne Times Review, a Facebook post over the weekend warned of an attempted abduction in the Hobby Lobby parking lot in Burleson, where three men physically assaulted a woman.

Burleson Police Chief Billy Cordell says after investigating the claim, they believe it never happened.  No report was made to either the police department or Hobby Lobby and no witnesses have come forward.  The post has since been removed from Facebook.  Anyone with information is asked to contact Johnson County Crimestoppers.
