(Fort Worth, TX) – A prayer vigil was held last night in Fort Worth outside of Cook Children’s Hospital for a nine-year-old girl on life support.

Payton Summons went into cardiac arrest last week and was unconscious when she arrived at Cook’s.  The hospital declared Payton brain dead when doctors couldn’t revive her, but her parents believe she can recover and got a temporary restraining order to keep her on life support for 14 days until they can find another hospital to take her.

Attorneys for the Medical Center and for Payton’s family will return to court on Friday to re-examine the order.
