(WILLOW PARK, TX) – A freeway accident involving an 18-wheeler and a mini-van in Willow Park shutdown a part of I-20 for hours early yesterday morning and left a Grand Prairie man dead.

According to the DPS a semi disabled from an earlier accident was blocking the inside lane on eastbound 20 near Ranch House Road, when an oncoming mini-van carrying 7 people slammed into the back of the trailer.  One passenger was killed, two other adults and three children were taken to Fort Worth hospitals.  The accident backed up traffic for miles and delayed bus routes for Aledo ISD school buses.

The interstate was reopened about 6 hours later.
