(Houston, TX) — President Donald Trump will be in Texas today to hold a campaign rally for Republican Senator Ted Cruz at the Toyota Center in Houston.

The rally is being held on the first day of early voting as Cruz runs for reelection against his Democratic challenger, Beto O’Rourke.  The event was scheduled to be held at NRG Arena, but it had to be moved to the Rockets’ downtown venue, which holds about ten-thousand more people.

A tailgate party is planned for downtown Houston prior to the President’s rally.  There will also be big-screen TVs so crowds outside can watch the rally inside the Toyota Center.   Trump supporters started camping in the street on Sunday.
