(Fort Worth, TX) — Fort Worth city leaders say the work of the Race and Culture Task Force is nearly done.

The independent task force was formed after the arrests of Jacqueline Craig and her two daughters in late 2016.  City Manager David Cooke told the Chamber of Commerce on Tuesday that the task force is considering independent oversight of the police department, among other measures.

The task force will deliver its final recommendations to the mayor and the city council in December.
