(Waco, TX) — Baylor is being fined two-million dollars by the Big 12 for damaging the conference’s reputation.
The board of directors approved the fine yesterday after a review of whether Baylor put in place all Title Nine recommendations. The review found the Waco school is in compliance. University president Dr. Linda Livingstone says she appreciates the Big 12 recognizing Baylor has made plenty of progress to keep students safe and secure.
The fine is from the sex assault scandal within the Baylor football program.
