(Undated) — A new poll shows Republican Ted Cruz and Democrat Beto O’Rourke statistically tied in the race for U.S. Senate.
The new Emerson College poll of likely voters shows Cruz with 50 percent of the vote to O’Rourke’s 47 percent, but the poll’s margin of error is more than three-and-a-half percent. That means the race is essentially tied. Two percent of voters are still undecided, according to the poll.
The last Emerson poll in early October showed Cruz, the incumbent, with a five-point lead over O’Rourke.
