(Johnson County, TX)  —  Authorities have arrested a man they say fled the scene of a fatal hit-and-run crash in Johnson County.

DPS investigators say the fatal crash happened Wednesday night southwest of Cleburne on FM 1434, south of Retreat Boulevard.  A Dodge pickup truck reportedly stolen from Oklahoma driven by 58 year old Joseph Michael Haley reportedly crashed head on into a Ford Ranger, killing 26-year-old Danny Clements.  Haley ran from the scene of the wreckage, but was later caught.  Police say they found alcohol containers in his truck.

Haley is charged with unauthorized use of a motor vehicle, driving without a valid license and failure to stop and render aid.  Investigators said Haley has a long criminal history.
